The South New Brighton jetty has been closed for 3 or 4 years (fenced off) then the fence was removed and it was "open", but nothing has happened to it since the earthquakes, but it is closed again now, although it looks like a home made sign!

Building plans signed off by the Christchurch City Council show one of its own structural engineers was involved in the design of a new multistorey building that is unstable. The eight-storey office building at 230 High Street is off-limits as it is too weak and might 'rupture' in an earthquake. But the council insists the planning documents are wrong and its engineer had only a minor role. Phil Pennington reports.

The entrance to 'Camp Hollywood', the American Civil Defence Force headquarters in Latimer Square. After the 22 February 2011 earthquake, emergency service agencies set up their headquarters in Latimer Square. The entrance way has a wooden sign reading, "Camp Hollywood" and a series of maps of Christchurch and New Zealand.

The A and T Burt building on Ferry Road in Woolston. Bricks from the top section of the building have fallen away. Signs advertising two businesses housed in the building, Superheat and Junk and Disorderly, can be seen sitting in front of it. The footpath is covered with brick dust and small pieces of masonry from when the larger pieces were cleared away.

St John's Presbyterian Church on Winchester Street in Lyttelton. The ground around the church has been strewn with masonry from the church's walls and collapsed tower. The building's front door has been red-stickered and a sign that reads "No entry" is stuck to it. The spire of the collapsed tower has fallen in front of the church, which has been enclosed by a safety fence.

This one says "BNZ Building: This is a dangerous building. The demolition will begin in the New Year. Once the demolition begins walking access will not be able to continue into Cathedral Square. Pallet Golf', a Gap Golf course on a the site of a demolished building. It has been built by Gap Filler to look like a journey through Christchurch. A plastic road cone as well as mini road cones, road signs, tunnels and rivers can be seen. The course has been built using green felt, wooden pallets, tyres, planks of wood and bricks.
