Wire fencing has been placed around the buildings as a cordon. Signs on the fences indicated that the T Bakery and Red Chilli are open.

Most of the bricks and other rubble have been cleared from the footpath. USAR codes have been spray-painted on many of the shops' windows. The closest store has been demolished and the rubble has been cleared away.
