The café had to close after the 22 February 2011 earthquake, which severely damaged their building on High Street. The video includes footage of the staff setting up the cafe and an interview with owner Sam Crofskey.

The video also includes footage of the damage to the Fisher's Building, the Press Building, Ballies Bar, and ChristChurch Cathedral, and many buildings on High Street.

It also includes footage of construction workers cutting up metal beams, and clearing rubble from a building on Manchester Street.

The installation was created by students from Unitec, for CityUps - a 'city of the future for one night only', and the main event of FESTA 2014.
