Earthquake damage to the road from Cheviot to Port Robinson, 1901. Taken by an unidentified photographer.
This is a copy of a photograph from `The Weekly Press', Nov 27, 1901
Note on back of file print reads: "Fissures on the road from Cheviot to Port Robinson. There is a creek on the right side of the road, and below the fissure the road has fallen towards it.....and is 2 1/2' below its proper level. The fissures are 2 1/2' deep" (Probably the caption from `The Weekly Press')
Quantity: 1 b&w original negative(s).

20161112_9961_7D2-70 The future face of Christchurch?
Cultivate Christchurch is operating this urban farm in the city, about 5-10 minutes walk to Cathedral Square. Many of the buildings in this area were demolished after the earhquakes, and in the background is a new building on Kilmore Street.
20130704_7680_EOS M-22 Another one on the way out!
The Mack tractor unit with "half a house" ready to depart in the middle of the night, when the roads are quiet. But where is this house heading too?
