Red Cross Tropical Cyclone Pam Appeal

The CEISMIC team would like to send our very deepest sympathies to the people of Vanuatu for the loss and destruction caused by Cyclone Pam. While our team is used to seeing images of damage to buildings and homes, the scale and widespread devastation caused by the cyclone is unlike anything we have ever known. Our hearts go out to the men, women, and children struggling to survive in the aftermath of the storm, as well as those who lost their lives.

Together, our team has made a donation to the Red Cross Tropical Cyclone Pam Appeal. The aim of this appeal is to provide the people of Vanuatu and other affected areas with lifesaving supplies such as tarpaulins, water containers, first aid kits, and shelter kits. We chose the Red Cross because of the vital role they played in the response to the 2010 and 2011 Canterbury earthquakes – they were there when Canterbury needed them and we are confident they will do everything they can to help Vanuatu.

We encourage you to donate to this worthy cause by visiting the Tropical Cyclone Pam Appeal at https://www.redcross.org.nz/donate/tropical-cyclone-pam-appeal/.
