Contributing photographs to the documentary record of Christchurch

UC CEISMIC Consortium Member Christchurch City Libraries is joining with BeckerFraserPhotos to host a free workshop for people with photographs that document Christchurch, past and present.

The workshop is focussed upon the impact of the earthquakes of 2010-2011 and the recovery from them, with the aim that participants will learn about sharing photographs, and about contributing to a trusted storehouse which ensures they are available to future generations.

Three sessions are offered: Fame or Fortune: making it easier to share and find your photos (10.00 am - 12.30 pm); Making good photos even better (2.00 - 4.00 pm); and a drop-in session over the lunch hour.  Participants may choose to attend one or all of these sessions.

The venue is the Upper Riccarton Community and School Library, an excellent learning space with computers for everyone enabling the workshop to be a practical hands-on learning session. Tea and coffee will be provided, and there is a cafe on site where lunch and espresso can be purchased.

More detailed information on the programme is available on registration.  For queries, contact moira.ceq@gmail.com
